Marlink, the global provider of maritime satellite communications, is launching @SEAdirect, a new, entry-level-band VSAT service. The new, low-cost service provides multiple data rates of up to 1024/256 kbps, offering Internet, e-mail, and voice capability for increased operational efficiency and crew communication at sea. Marlink's introduction of the new @SEAdirect service confirms the company's commitment to offering the most comprehensive product portfolio on the market, with a solution to meet any customer requirement.
"By close cooperation with our customers and other partners in the transportation market, we have developed a service offering which focuses on the market specific needs for business and crew. The @SEAdirect service provides Internet, e-mail and voice for business and crew use at a low fixed monthly rate," comments Tore Morten Olsen, CEO, Marlink.
The new @SEAdirect service provides ship owners and operators with Internet and e-mail for business and crew, together with a 24/7 worldwide customer support service. Marlink can also provide leased hardware as an option with installation and service available globally. Using the same antenna system as Marlink's WaveCall(TM) VSAT solution, @SEAdirect can be easily upgraded to the WaveCall(TM) service, without any modifications to the hardware.
As a global provider of maritime satellite communications Marlink's portfolio incorporates an extensive range of services including WaveCall(TM), Marlink's regional, multi-regional and global Ku-band service, to Sealink(TM), Marlink's global C-band maritime VSAT service. Marlink also provides on-demand services including Inmarsat FleetBroadband, Iridium and Thuraya. For further information please visit www.marlink.com
