FREE Demonstration Sessions - Join us at Stand C1, or for one of our demonstrations
OSIL is delighted to be taking part in Ocean Business 2011, the hands-on ocean technology exhibition and training forum taking place at the National Oceanography Centre from 5-7 April 2011.
We will not only be exhibiting (Stand C1), but we will also be holding a 1-hour on-water session on board RV Bill Conway where we will be demonstrating the OSIL MiniBAT, and a 1-hour classroom session on OSIL's latest data to web solution.
The OSIL MiniBAT will be displayed on the stand and will also be deployed from RV Bill Conway on Tuesday (5 April 2011 - 15.30-16.30). This unique tow fish is capable of taking instrumentation from any manufacturer and collect tow profiles at depths of up to 60m and speeds of 10 knots. If you would like to come aboard and watch the system in operation please sign up at the OSIL stand C1 prior to departure.
The new 316 Stainless Steel OSIL Box Corer will be on display outside the exhibition allowing potential customers to view the construction and sample handling capabilities of this unit.
The latest 1.2 m OSIL Shearwater Buoy will be installed in the dock at NOC with a suite of instrumentation attached. The data from the buoy will be transmitted live to the OSIL Stand (C1) in realtime using a GPRS link where it will be available for viewing. There will be a classroom session on the new system on Wednesday (6 April 2011 - 12.00-13.00) in the Ray Beverton room (044/11).
If you do plan to attend Ocean Business, you will need to register as a delegate on the Ocean Business website:
