The 60th research cruise of the RSS James Cook completed recently, having spent 5 weeks in the North East Atlantic, collecting samples from the Darwin Mounds and Rockall Bank (North-West of Scotland) for Oceanlab researchers Dr. Evina Gontikaki & Neils Jobsvogt to study seabed habitats, assess the extent of human impact on these areas, and the effect of marine protected areas.

Ships Electronic Services (SES), a market leader in maritime communication and navigation electronics has completed a contract with BP Shipping to supply 25 ships with Thrane and Thrane’s Fleetbroadband 250 systems.
